Job Spec: Setting Out EngineerSalary : TBCDesired Experience: 5 years + experienceDUTIES:
- Carry out setting out works and other engineering principles
- Providing support and information to both the project and contract management team as well as teams on the ground
- Assist the site manager in managing the full project scope
- Requesting technical information from both the design team and specialist sub contractors
- Carry out QA checks, temporary works checks, temporary works coordination.
- Assist in the over seining of Health & Safety policy on site
- Assisting the site management team with ordering of materials and take offs
- Look after other key materials on site such as steel reinforcement call off and submittals as well as scheduling these to site in a timely fashion
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor quality, address defects, and ensure work aligns with project specifications.
- Maintain detailed daily logs, prepare progress reports, and manage quality control documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a setting out engineer with either a developer or main contractor
- Proficient in the use of Auto CAD and operation of total stations and other surveying equipment
- Strong leadership skills
- Key eye for detail is essential
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong initiative, self-motivated and communication skills
