Service Technician, Workshop – VIC in Melbourne, Australia

The Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Service Technician to join our Equipment team, based on our Service Centre at Braeside, VIC. Reporting to the Service Manager, Equipment, this role will be responsible for new equipment builds, the mechanical work involved in the repair, maintenance and servicing of turf maintenance related equipment within a nominated region to support a wider national network.

Responsibilities

Your duties in the role include:

• Cylinder sharpening and Cutting unit setup.

• Following OEM guidelines to effectively build new equipment fit for customer use.

• Coordinating and performing various mechanical work involved in the repair, maintenance and servicing of turf maintenance related equipment.

• Establishing professional working relationships with customers.

• Establishing and maintaining relevant service-related information.

  About You

  The successful, relevantly qualified applicant will have excellent self-organizational and customer service skills combined with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn new skills. Experience in maintaining hydraulic, electric and mobile plant equipment and a strong base of diagnostic skills is essential. Proven experience or understanding of turf or turf machinery maintenance will be highly regarded.
