This role is for a Service Manager of our Nottingham Young People’s Gender Service. It will involve having managerial oversight and accountability for the service. The role will require leadership and management skills to support the service in meeting key performance indicators. There will be a requirement for engagement with the wider management structure of the service and partner agencies including NHSE. This is a great opportunity to offer management and leadership for a new and innovative service.Main duties of the jobTo manage the service ensuring staff wellbeing, supervision and support.   • Experience of service development/ transformation/change management
  • A demonstrable capacity and capability for operational/clinical service management at middle level in a health or public sector including staff management, financial management and change management
  • Demonstrable success in delivering change and performance with and through your teams, by encouraging them in development and delivery plans, establishing clear work priorities with them, delegating effectively, ensuring a capability to deliver, monitoring performance, and giving feedback
  • Working with and reporting to commissioners
  • Working with other agencies, including leading partnerships
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of managing and delivering to deadlines and within resources
  • Demonstrable inter-personal and communications skills, with a track record in writing complex business cases and policies

Desirable

  • Experience of management level within an NHS organisation
  • Experience of working within transgender health

QualificationsEssential

  • Educated to Masters Degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience that evidences transferable skills.
