Based within a commutable distance of Cheltenham? If the answer is yes, we have a new opportunity for a Service Desk Engineer to join our excellent team.In this role, you’ll support and maintain the PortmanDentex IT systems and provide efficient first line support to all business users. You’ll field the initial contact from all colleagues and log any IT-related faults, then aim to resolve these quickly in-line with SLAs.You can read the full job description .Our Service Desk team currently work on a shift basis which rotates weekly. The shifts are as follows:8:00 – 16:30, 8:30 – 17:00, and 9:30 – 18:00Every week one member of the team also works on-call which is:18:00 – 20:00 Monday – Friday and 8:00 – 13:00 SaturdayQualificationsWe welcome your application to our Service Desk Engineer vacancy if you have the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven track record in a busy and dynamic first line support role on a Service Desk taking upwards of 350 – 400 tickets calls per week.
- High standard of incident and problem management.
- Previous experience using helpdesk applications.
- Knowledge of Active Directory administration, O365 Administration, AV Administration, Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Support, MDM systems.
- Basic network troubleshooting.
- Asset management.
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service attitude and an ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, time management and planning; a self-starter.
