Job description

Morgan McKinley are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Supply Planner to join an expanding Supply Chain team based in Dublin.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with proven expertise in supply chain planning, inventory management, and operational excellence. The Senior Supply Planner will be responsible for ensuring an optimal supply of pharmaceutical products across various stages of production and distribution, aligning demand forecasts, and driving key supply chain initiatives to support business objectives.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply plan, ensuring alignment with production schedules, demand forecasts, and inventory policies.
  • Collaborate closely with production, procurement, logistics, and demand planning teams to ensure the continuous availability of materials and finished products.
  • Manage supply constraints and work to resolve any supply chain bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for the pharmaceutical sector (e.g., GMP, GDP, and other quality standards)
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, working to reduce excess stock while ensuring optimal service levels.
  • Conduct regular analysis of inventory data to optimize stock levels and identify potential risks.
  • Implement and maintain safety stock and reorder point strategies for critical materials
  • Collaborate with demand planning teams to ensure supply plans align with forecasted demand and market changes.
  • Evaluate and adjust forecasts to reflect changing customer and market dynamics.
  • Engage in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align supply chain strategy with business objectives.
  • Liaise with key external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects within the supply chain function.
  • Generate regular reports on supply chain performance, inventory levels, and supply risks.

Key requirements:

  • 4+ years’ supply chain experience with a knowledge of Supply Planning and other aspects of including scheduling, forecasting, demand Planning and S&OP
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required
  • An in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains, including regulatory requirements (GMP/GDP), batch production, and cold chain management
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma certification is a plus
