The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a centre of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.How you’ll make an impact:The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.What you’ll do:
- Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
- Assist in the development of end-to-end automated & manual test cases
- Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
- Develop, maintain and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project
- Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management
- Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
- Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.
What you’ll need
- BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
- 3-6+ years’ experience with Test Development and Environments
- Experience in Consumer or Automotive Software development
- Experience in Consumer or Automotive Frameworks
- Experienced in Consumer or Automotive Client Application
- Experienced in Tools for test development
- Experience in test automation
- Application of software development life cycle concept.
- Knowledge and application of at least one programming languages
- Knowledgeable of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
Technical Skills:
- 3-5+ years’ experience as Test engineer
- Experience in Test Frameworks
- Experience in test automation
- Experience with tools – Jira, Git, Charles (It is an HTTP proxy / HTTP monitor / Reverse Proxy that enables a developer to view all of the HTTP and SSL / HTTPS traffic between their machine and the Internet. This includes requests, responses and the HTTP headers (which contain the cookies and caching information).
