SCC Flex Contract: SC Cleared Senior Software Engineer – £500 per day – Inside IR35 – LondonAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Execute software tasks from the Sprint Backlog, covering design, development, documentation, and verification, while following company standards and Sprint constraints.
• Provide specialized software knowledge, lead defect investigations, and propose solutions.
• Assist in analysing tasks to ensure a clear understanding of scope and acceptance criteria.
• Complete backlog tasks within estimates or provide new estimates with justification.
• Promptly escalate issues hindering task completion.
• Review and mentor junior team members.
• Ensure thorough testing before task completion.
• Collaborate within the team to achieve Sprint objectives.
• Lead in providing design solutions and estimates for future tasks.
• Ensure adherence to the Project Quality Management System.
• Support independent test teams during integration or system testing.

The successful Senior Software Engineer will have experience in:

• Proficiency in software lifecycle management.
• Experience in Agile development using Scrum and Kanban.
• Ability to deliver high-quality software and documentation with minimal rework.
• Proficiency in providing detailed estimates with risk assessment.
• Experience in functional and Object-Oriented Design engineering.
• Ability to conduct design and code reviews, and unit test inspections.
• Knowledge of C/C++ development on Linux.
• Experience in designing software compliant with Safety and Security Standards.
• Familiarity with tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, and HP ALM.
• Understanding of system-level architecture and multi-threading.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Experience with service-oriented or distributed systems.
• Exposure to Geospatial Information Systems.
• Active SC Clearance
