Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading residential developer to recruit a Senior Site Engineer for an exciting project in Co. Waterford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role in the technical delivery of high-quality developments, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance across all site operations.Responsibilities for Senior Site Engineer
- Oversee daily engineering activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Act as the key technical point of contact for site teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction meets quality and regulatory standards.
- Verify that materials and workmanship align with approved drawings and specifications.
- Promote and enforce health and safety protocols on-site, conducting safety briefings and inspections.
- Perform surveying and setting out using Total Stations and GPS equipment.
- Ensure accurate levels, lines, and coordinates for construction works.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, inspection logs, and as-built drawings.
- Mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements for Site Engineer
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Site Engineer in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
