Technical ServicesThe postThe Faculty wishes to recruit a Research Technician (nutrition) to support the work of Professor Benjamin Wall. This externally funded post is available immediately or as soon as possible for a fixed period of 36 months. The successful applicant will be an appropriately qualified and experienced nutritionist/physiologist/sport scientist and take a leading role in executing project exploring low calorie, high protein diets, from animal- and non-animal origins, for weight loss in human volunteers.The post will include taking a leading role in all aspects of executing a comprehensive metabolic human nutritional physiology study. This will involve recruitment, screening and monitoring of research participants, conducting experimental test days, collection and preparation of biological samples, samples analyses and managing large datasets.About youThe successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically. A large degree of cooperation with academics and postgraduate students within the research team, as well as independent working within a human nutritional physiology research setting with minimal supervision is required.Applicants will possess a relevant BSc (MSc and/or PhD desirable, or nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
