We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clinets team on a social housing development project in Co Kildare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying within the construction industry, particularly in social housing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to a significant project and grow their career with a reputable, established contractor.Key Responsibilities:Cost Management:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for the project.
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Conduct cost analysis and cost reporting.

Contract Management:

• Prepare and manage contracts, including tender documentation and procurement processes.
• Assess and manage variations and claims.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare regular financial reports, including cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to project stakeholders.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate potential risks to the project’s financial performance.
• Implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with project managers, site managers, and other team members to ensure project success.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, regulations, and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality control.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all project-related financial transactions and documentation.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management and clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Proven experience in social housing development projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in relevant software and tools, such as MS Office, CostX, or similar.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, SCSI) is an advantage.
