Job description

A Snr QC manager is required to join a global pharmaceutical company based in North Dublin. The successful candidate will oversee the sites Chemistry, Microbiology and Stability laboratories with a total team of over 50 people and 3-4 direct reports.This role reports directly to the Snr Quality Director and will be involved in strategic planning for the site.Job Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of chemistry and microbiology labs, ensuring timely release of raw materials, packaging, and finished products
• Maintain the site stability and retain samples programs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure timely and cost-effective release of materials and products.
• Oversee training and development of lab personnel in GMP and GLP, ensuring training records are up-to-date.
• Recruit, develop, and manage training and personnel development plans for laboratory staff.
• Assist in preparing for internal and external regulatory audits.
• Conduct performance appraisals for QC lab staff.
• Ensure timely analysis, approval, and documentation of validation data and test methods.
• Ensure the safety of lab personnel and report safety concerns to the Quality Director/EHS Advisor.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within QC labs.
• Manage financial resources and expenses within the Quality Control function.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (a MSc or PhD is an advantage)
• 5-7 years of leadership experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on GMP and GLP compliance.
• Minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of EMA, ICH, EP, and global regulatory requirements.
• Experience with HA inspections and audits.
