RSK Ireland, part of RSK Group offers a wide range environmental consultancy service including those related to hydrology, hydrogeology, soils, geology, ecology and biodiversity.The company now has an exciting opportunity for a a Senior / Principal Geo-Environmental Consultant to join the team in Dublin / Cork on a Hybrid basis.This is a great opportunity to work alongside an experienced team you will get involved with a vast array of projects ranging from large scale brownfield site development, landfill investigations, contaminated site investigations, renewable energy projects and hydrogeology specific projects including long term monitoring and modelling projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Providing technical leadership, technical input, guidance and review of Contaminated Land and Hydrogeology related projects
- Effective management of projects from inception to completion including resource and budget management, technical oversight and client communications.
- Designing and managing a variety of geo-environmental site investigations and monitoring programmes.
- Writing and reviewing technical reports including PSA, GQRA and DQRA.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff members to assist them in their development
- Provide recruitment advice and financial reports to Associate Director.
- Establish and develop strong working relationships with new and existing clients, which is integral to the growth of the business.
- Manage responses to request for tenders and develop proposals.
Person Specification:
- BSc degree level qualified in Geology or a related Environmental subject
- MSc in Geology, Hydrogeology or Contaminated Land related subject preferable but not essential
- A minimum of 4+ years (Senior) and 8+ years (Principal) experience in relevant position.
- Ideally chartered with a relevant professional body or be willing to work towards chartership.
- Experienced project manager who has successfully delivered Contaminated Land or Hydrogeology related projects.
- Good analytical skills and a good understanding of laboratory testing and interpretation of laboratory results
- Proficient in writing and reviewing technical reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good business development outlook and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and external bodies
- Positive and enthusiastic self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions when necessary within pressing situations
