You will use your SaaS sales experience and advanced e-invoicing knowledge to identify, cultivate, and close business opportunities globally with potential clients while building and maintaining strong partner relationships.

The position is offered on a fully remote basis. You will report into the Senior Director, Global E-invoicing Sales.
Responsibilities:
E-Invoicing Market Expertise: Stay current with industry trends and regulations related to e-invoicing and transaction taxes, providing subject matter expertise to both prospects and colleagues.
New Business Development: Identify and target potential customers within the e-invoicing market, understanding their pain points, and presenting Avalara’s solutions as the optimal choice for tax compliance.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to the e-invoicing sector, leveraging Avalara’s unique strengths and differentiators.
Solution Selling: Understand the complex needs of clients and tailor Avalara’s software solutions to meet their specific requirements.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
Quota Achievement: Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas, driving revenue growth for Avalara.
Sales Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Sales Engineers, Product Specialists, and Customer Account Managers to win business globally.
What You’ll Need to be Successful
- 7+ years of successful software sales experience, with experience meeting sales quotas.
- You will have a strong background in e-invoicing software sales.
- You will have a strong background in SaaS sales.
- You will have strong knowledge of the e-invoicing market including the already introduced and upcoming mandates.
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
- Experience in a quota-carrying sales role, with a focus on new or existing business.
