We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer with a strong background in Java technology stack and microservice architecture to join our team.

As a Senior Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet the business requirements while adhering to best practices in software engineering.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions using Java and related technologies within a microservice architecture.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans.

• Develop and maintain microservices, APIs, and integrations with third-party systems, ensuring robustness, scalability, and performance.

• Implement best practices in software engineering, including design patterns, coding standards, and testing methodologies.

• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Work closely with DevOps teams and in some cases take the ownership yourself to automate deployment processes, set up CI/CD pipelines, and ensure smooth and reliable application deployments.

• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues, collaborating with other team members to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and trends in software development, and evaluate their potential applicability to our projects.

• Contribute to the documentation of technical designs, architecture diagrams, API specifications, and deployment guides.

• Mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow and develop their skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java technology stack.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing microservice architectures using frameworks like Spring Boot.

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience in building and consuming web services.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and experience deploying microservices in a cloud environment. Experience with OCI is a huge plus.

• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a timely manner.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Experience with Agile methodologies, TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is preferred.

• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies and take on new challenges.
