Smurfit Westrock is currently seeking to employ a passionate and dynamic Senior Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity that give the successful candidate exposure into full Total Rewards activities and Diversity initiatives.

This role is based in North Richmond, NSW, Australia.

The role will include the following responsibilities;

• Processing multiple end-to-end pay runs using Sage Micropay (weekly & fortnightly cycle runs) as a Stand alone payroll expert.

• Ownership of anncilary payroll systems such as ESS and Time in Attendance

• Processing new starters, payroll adjustments, terminations & redundancies

• Manage the monthly Superannuation contributions

• Monthly & weekly Payroll reconciliations and Maintaining payroll records and data integrity

• Understanding Enterprise Agreements and applicable Awards

• Compensation and Benefits Design

• Diversity Leadership including ERN coordination and reporting obligations

What skills will you have?

• At least 5 years’ experience managing a standalone end-to-end payroll function

• Previous experience in Sage Micropay

• Ability to interpret and understand Enterprise Agreements and applicable Awards

• Intermediate excel skills (vlookup, pivot)

• Attention to detail
