We look to build long term mutually beneficial partnerships with companies based in the UK, across a range of fundraising mechanics including charity of the year, cause related marketing, affinity, sponsorship, gift in kind donations, corporate events and project funding.We are seeking a Senior New Partnerships Lead to lead a team, develop and implement successful sector strategies and proactively generate leads to build, maintain and convert a high-value prospect pipeline.You will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, lead the development of a new partnerships’ strategy and support the wider strategic planning.
  • Manage, lead and develop a team of two New Partnership Managers.
  • Meet and exceed financial targets by securing high-value multi-year partnerships with prospects that will deliver in-year and long-term income.
  • Propose new and innovative fundraising initiatives to organisations wishing to partner with Marie Curie, which meet both the needs of the organisation and maximise the opportunities for the charity.
  • Develop bespoke, creative and robust cultivation and stewardship plans and activities for organisations, and to collaborate with teams and departments to engage top prospects.

Key Criteria:

  • Proven track record of securing 6 or 7 figure strategic, commercial and foundation partnerships.
  • Experience of winning new business across a range of income streams, including Charity of the Year, CRM and sponsorship.
  • Experience of leading New Partnerships Teams and managing direct reports.
  • Experience of developing new business/business development strategies with focus on sector led approaches.
  • Solid track record of managing a portfolio of potential prospects through a robust pipeline.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of forecasting the value of new partnerships accurately.
  • This role will also require a willingness to travel across the UK.

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience plus LWA £3,500 if applicable.Contract: PermanentBased: This role is predominantly home-based and can be based anywhere within the UK.
