We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells, a category C Prison located in Wellingborough.SalaryThis position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £46,200 per annum – depending on experience.How will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you’ll be doingAs a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You willlead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions. You will undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. You will assess patient’s health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge.You will ensure that you assess physical and mental health of prisoners on admission to the prison and throughout their period of custody so that any appropriate referral can be made.
