Quorum is looking for a senior litigation lawyer with 4-6 years of experience to reinforce their litigation team.Quorum’s litigation team works for SME’s, start-up & scale-up companies, private equity investors and multinational enterprises in national and international corporate and commercial litigation cases.Onze cliëntQuorum is an Antwerp based corporate boutique law firm founded in 2012. Since then, the team of Quorum (which today consists of nearly 20 lawyers) has developed as a trusted partner for its clients on corporate transactions, investments and commercial advisory & dispute resolution.Quorum is a dynamic law firm with a no can-do attitude where quality of work, client service, team spirit and friendship are core values.BeschrijvingAs senior litigation lawyer, you will notably be responsible for:

• Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload of corporate and commercial litigation matters, including post-acquisition disputes, contractual disputes, shareholder actions, regulatory investigations, intellectual property conflicts, and other business-related legal disputes;
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to analyse case law and regulations relevant to the ongoing litigation. Use research findings to develop compelling legal arguments;
• Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal teams and clients to devise effective litigation strategies that align with the overall business goals while considering the legal landscape and potential risks;
• Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, legal opinions, and other legal documents necessary for litigation proceedings. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal standards;
• Client Representation: Represent corporate clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings;
• Negotiation: Engage in settlement negotiations when appropriate, aiming to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while minimizing legal and financial risks;
• Case Progress Monitoring: Regularly update clients on the progress of their cases, provide strategic advice, and address any questions or concerns they may have regarding the litigation process;
• Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients.

Profiel

• You have a master’s degree in law and can present a strong academic track record. An additional master’s degree or LLM is a plus;
• You have a strong understanding of corporate law, civil procedure, and relevant regulation;
• You have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in the field of (corporate) litigation;
• You are capable of making in-depth analyses, providing creative and pragmatic solutions and working autonomously;
• You are inspired by working with others and have excellent communication skills;
• You are ambitious and you want to grow in a professional environment;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
