Senior HR Business Partner – Melbourne

(6 month Fixed Term Contract – Possibility of an extension)

About the role

In this role, we are looking for an experienced and passionate HR professional to lead a small team delivering client-focused business solutions. The role will support our offices across Victoria and SA, supporting more than 600 staff across a number of locations. There are a range of responsibilities which make the position both interesting and rewarding. Your focus will include manager coaching and support, managing employee relations matters, performance management, and helping drive employee engagement activities. This position supports Human Resource strategies and takes the lead on projects that keep Stantec’s workforce engaged and motivated.

As a strong relationship builder, you will have the ability and confidence to engage with managers and employees, influencing them to achieve key business outcomes. Commercial awareness, with the ability to multi-task, and to deliver client outcomes are qualities that are vital to this role. You’ll be able to work autonomously, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with your client group from remote locations. You’ll have the opportunity to work across our broader Australia HR Team and will have exposure to our ANZ HR Team.

About you

You will ideally have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or other relevant field, ideally with 7 years’ human resources experience, preferably with experience in a consulting environment. Your ability to partner, influence and maintain positive relations with internal clients is essential, as is the ability to manage the delivery of a small team.
