Our client is an SME who are expanding. As a result of business growth, they now require a Senior Accountant to manage the day to day finance operations and a small finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress to a managerial position.Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly accounting process.
- Responsible for producing the monthly/quarterly board pack & presentation to the board.
- Manage the annual statutory audit process and be the point of contact for the external auditors.
- Responsible for reviewing tax accounting.
- Budget, Forecasting & Planning analysis and management.
- Cash flow management on a weekly & monthly basis.
- Relationship management with banking institutions and external funding sources.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Responsibility for the overall Human Resource function of the business with oversight of company payroll function.
- Manage internal processes and IT systems.
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the CFO.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA)
- 3-5 years post qualification experience in an SME, ideally in the property/construction sector
- Good general knowledge of all aspects of a finance function.
- Previous experience managing staff with the ability to motivate & delegate work accordingly.
- Highly proficient IT skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive and self-starting.
- Fluent English is essential along with excellent communication skills.
