Job description
WHAT YOU’LL DO: This role oversees monthly management reporting of companies within the Hercules Shipping group. The role is involved in external and statutory reporting, tax declaration, and audit management, and assists on consolidation of monthly accounts. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Monthly management reporting of fifteen companies of the Shipping Group. Balance Sheet & P&L Intercompany reconciliations Preparation of Management reports for Financial Controller Variance analysis and Performance reporting External reporting and tax declaration Assist Financial Controller with ensuring timely and correct tax compliance and reporting of multiple jurisdictions. Liaising with Financial Controller and Head of Tax for tax matters Statutory reporting & Audit management Assist Financial Controller with management of 10 company audits Management and completion of statutory accounts of these companies Ensuring compliance to IFRS and local GAAP when required Working closely with other finance teams for better coordination of month end reporting AR or Invoicing Team AP team Legal Commercial team Strong liaison with commercial teams for obtaining reliable financial information. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven experience in the areas of financial planning & analysis, finance business partnering, management accounting and financial control Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills. Strong analytical skills. Proactive and self-motivated leader Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard finance package QUALIFICATIONS / ACCREDITATIONS An appropriate accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
