Who We Are:(CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght as well as an Urgent Care Centre at Connolly hospital in Blanchardstown.Description:Senior Estates and Technical Services ManagerPurpose of the Role:The Senior Estates Technical Services Manager will provide professional and business leadership for the department and a high level of expertise and understanding of Estates Technical Services and Support Services Management to the Director of Estates, Facilities management and Suitability and the wider CHI Executive Team.To ensure the provision of safe and secure functioning of all Mechanical, Electrical and Building and Grounds maintainable assets across the entire CHI estate including critical engineering building services (for example: life support systems like the electrical distribution system, generators and UPS’s , infection control systems for example Water Hygiene Management and Specialist Ventilation, engineering Management and construction site controls , environmental support systems, equipment support) for the safety of patients visitors and staff. This role will have the capability of providing a suitable response to maintain a high level of care in all circumstancesEssential Criteria:· Relevant 3rd level qualifications – e.g. Building Services Engineering Degree (Level 8)· At least 10 years’ experience in the Building Services or Facilities Management field across a site with infrastructure of a wide-ranging age profile within Healthcare· Proven experience of public procurement and project management.· Experience with relevant IT systems and knowledge of AutoCAD is required· Working of IWMS systems· Working knowledge of health and safety management.· Risk management experience· Project Management Experience· Knowledge of Medical Gas Pipeline System· Knowledge of Synchronized Generators, Uninterruptable power Supplies, Isolated power supplies.· Knowledge of the prevention and management of legionella, Pseudomonas and Aspergilla’s in a healthcare environment.· Knowledge of the requisite HTM and HBN standards.· Knowledge of SFG20 PPM standards.· Knowledge of the HPSC standards and guidelines.· Budget Range €15-20mil· The successful candidate will need to have an acceptable level of competency pertaining to senior management professional standards in the following areas:· Communication, quality, technology, operations, human factors, finance, emergency planning and business continuity, leadership and strategy, project management.
