Senior Design EngineerINTRODUCTION
As part of a continued commitment to delivering product innovation our client, a market-leading manufacturer of branded consumer and commercial products, is looking to hire a senior design engineer to drive future product development.LOCATION
Midlands (office-based role).
For commuting, ideal home locations would be: Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Tamworth, Lichfield, Burton-upon-Trent, Coalville, Leicester, Coventry, Rugby, Northampton, Leamington Spa, or close.THE JOB ROLE
The Senior Design Engineer role is a diverse position that will see you engage with a multitude of different teams and stakeholders to deliver new small- and large-scale projects that are key to the product design and manufacturing processes.

• Project-based input across material use, product and component design, use of materials in production, packaging, transport and distribution.
• Engagement with the product design and engineering lifecycle from CAD design, sourcing materials, engaging with 3rd parties, financials, hands-on product testing etc.
• Collating data, analysis and reporting.
• Working with 3rd party electronics component suppliers.

THE PERSON NEEDED
For the Senior Design Engineer role our client is ideally looking for someone with demonstrable experience of product design and development in a comparable field:

• 5 years experience of hands-on end-to-end product design
• Ideally experience working in a consumer or branded product environment
• An innovative and adaptable approach to driving positive change.

THE REWARDS
