One of Ireland’s leading main contractors is the market for a Senior Contracts Manager/Project Director to run a large residential project in East CorkRole: Senior Contracts Manager/Project DirectorLocation: East CorkSalary: €90-120k, vehicle, pension, bonusOur client is fast becoming a leader in the delivery of high quality residential projects in Cork City and County. With several high profile projects already underway, they require a Senior Contracts Manager/Project Director to help them with the next phase of projects which will see them deliver over 500 homes in Cork over the next 2 yearsThe main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the commercial team in the planning, tendering and delivery of all developments
• Providing specialist technical leadership
• Planning resourcing of projects and monitoring against budgets
• Implementation of best practice in project controls, performance management, and Project Reporting.
• Monitoring sub-contractor performance and determining labour requirements.
• Liaising with local authorities and stakeholders
• Being responsible for company Health & Safety files, Homebond applications and other important documents
• Attending weekly/monthly site meetings
• Regular site visits with and on behalf of the construction director to monitor the progress of several projects

The ideal candidate will:

• 10-15 years experience as Senior Project Manager, Contracts or Construction Manager
• Experience in large scale residential & commercial projects in Ireland or the UK
• Possess a third level qualification in a Construction or Engineering discipline
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Experience liaising with local government, ESB, Irish Water and planning authorities
• Have proficient IT and report writing skills
