Call for Consultancy: Consultancy for Strategic Planning, Proposal Writing, and Reporting
Duration of the Contract: From 15th January 2025 to 15th June 2025. ( Renewable based on the Performance and Budget)
Level of Engagement: 8 to 12 days per month, based on programmatic needs.
Location: National and internationally based.
Facilities Provided by LWF: The consultant is expected to use their own equipment and resources.
Green and Sustainable Practices: All communications and deliverables will be managed online, with no planned travel to reduce environmental impact.

LWF Jordan is one of the 25 country programs managed by LWF World Service. This initiative has been operational in Jordan since 2013, serving the community for over a decade. Our primary objective is to assist marginalized communities by strengthening their resilience, social cohesion, and fostering sustainable livelihoods. We provide protection and humanitarian services across various sectors, including Individual Counseling, Group Therapy, Community-Based Activities, Awareness Raising, Child and Youth Programs, and Capacity Building. - Contract purpose and Expected results
Overall objective: To strengthen LWF’s programmatic and strategic capacities through effective planning, proposal development, and high-quality reporting, ensuring alignment with LWF priorities and donor requirements.
Purpose: To provide strategic support to LWF in planning, drafting funding proposals, and preparing comprehensive reports for donors and stakeholders.
Results to be achieved by the Candidate:
- Development of high-quality funding proposals tailored to donor requirements and aligned with LWF’s strategic objectives.
- Timely preparation and submission of donor reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor guidelines.
- Strategic inputs into programmatic and operational planning to enhance effectiveness and sustainability.
- Scope of the Services
The consultancy will support the LWF Jordan/Syria program, including the Country Office in Amman and field teams, to ensure strategic alignment and robust programmatic documentation.
- TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT BY THE CONSULTANT
- Analyses donor requirements and develop tailored funding proposals, concept notes, and results frameworks.
- Draft comprehensive and timely donor reports, including narrative.
- Provide strategic planning inputs for programmatic direction, including reviewing and updating key program documents.
- Coordinate with field teams and program managers to gather data and insights for proposals and reports.
- QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The Consultant should possess the following qualifications:
- Advanced degree in International Development, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, proposal development, and donor reporting, particularly in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Strong understanding of donor requirements, including institutional donors such as UN agencies, EU, and other international partners.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documentation.
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern humanitarian and development contexts is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other tools relevant to proposal writing and reporting.
- Reporting
The consultant will report to:
- Program Coordinator, Jordan-Syria program: every week for operational updates and monthly submission of progress reports detailing tasks, deliverables, and days worked
- Country director, Jordan-Syria program: as necessary for strategic guidance.
