Senior Commercial Finance Analyst in Surry Hills, Australia

Meaningful Work From Day One

This position plays a critical role in business partnering with the Sales organisation to drive and optimise the financial and holistic performance of Brown-Forman ANZPI. You will jointly own the Independent P&L and partner specifically with the National Business Manager – Independents, the National Business Manager – Field & On-Premise and the Sales Operations Manager to drive commercial outcomes beneficial to both Brown-Forman and the customer. You will lead the evaluation and prioritisation of customer investment across the Independent channel and drive the commercial capability of the Sales team. You will also support the Finance Director in the financial management of the New Zealand distributor business, responsible for understanding the monthly financial performance as well as leading the forecast for NZ.

What You Can Expect

● Joint responsibility and ownership, together with the Commercial Independents & Field team, for the P&L and financial performance of the Independent channel, providing monthly analysis and insights on key performance drivers.

● Primary commercial and financial business partner to the independent channel; largely the National Business Manager – Independents, the National Business Manager – Field & On-Premise and the Sales Operations Manager and their teams.

● Provide strategic commercial and financial direction to ensure evaluation, optimization and prioritization of trade/customer investment that drive beneficial commercial outcomes.

● Jointly lead the On-Premise contract management, strategy, execution and reporting with the National Business Manager – Field & On-Premise.

● Support the Sales Operations Manager and National Business Manager – Field & On-Premise to drive a Short Term Incentive program for the field team that delivers our key financial targets.

● Lead (together with the Senior Finance Analyst – FP&A and National Chains) the development and improvement of the Indirect Reporting environment.

● Own the NZ P&L, supporting the Finance Director, in the financial management and forecast of the commercials, understanding the key drivers and opportunities.

● Drive best-in-class commercial and financial capability across the Commercial Independents & Field teams.

What You Bring to the Table

● Proven experience within a Finance and/or Commercial Finance role

● Outstanding communication, analytical, business partnering and leadership capabilities; ensuring the effective facilitation of discussions, ability to make recommendations, challenge and influence at all levels in a multi-stakeholder environment

● Strong ability to business partner with key cross functional Finance, Sales and Marketing stakeholders to understand the needs of the business and opportunities for improvement in shaping the future finance performance of the business

● Demonstrated understanding and application of a broad range of commercial and RGM levers thathave delivered successful outcomes

What Makes You Unique

● Tertiary qualifications Bachelor

● Business/Commerce/Economics with CPA/CA advantageous

● Experience with FMCG sector and similar high excise/duty/regulatory industry advantageous

● Strong technical ability and systems experience with SAP/BW, excel and other relevant reporting and data management systems and Tableau experience advantageous
