We are looking for skilled Senior Bridge Engineers to join our growing team in Dublin. This is a permanent position with flexible working options, suitable for engineers with 8+ years of experience in bridge and civil engineering projects.Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized technical support on complex bridge and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Work on both existing and new bridge structures, including superstructure, substructure, and articulation.
Participate in project initiation, including survey specifications, inspections, and preliminary design planning.
Perform detailed design tasks, including modeling, calculations, and drawing oversight.
Prepare technical documentation, such as reports, specifications, and contract documents.
Conduct technical reviews, including category 3 checks, and represent clients and designers on-site.
Engage with clients, including local and national authorities, consultants, and contractors.
Mentor junior engineers to support their professional development.
Requirements
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Chartered Engineer status or close to obtaining it (Engineers Ireland, ICE, or equivalent).
8-15 years of experience in bridge engineering.
Proficient in bridge design software and standards (e.g., DMRB, Eurocodes).
Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams with strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational, communication, and English language skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of additional civil engineering disciplines, such as highways, geotechnics, or rail.
Experience in business development activities, including client liaison and bid preparation.
