Job description
We are looking for skilled Senior Bridge Engineers to join our growing team in Dublin. This is a permanent position with flexible working options, suitable for engineers with 8+ years of experience in bridge and civil engineering projects.Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized technical support on complex bridge and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Work on both existing and new bridge structures, including superstructure, substructure, and articulation.
- Participate in project initiation, including survey specifications, inspections, and preliminary design planning.
- Perform detailed design tasks, including modeling, calculations, and drawing oversight.
- Prepare technical documentation, such as reports, specifications, and contract documents.
- Conduct technical reviews, including category 3 checks, and represent clients and designers on-site.
- Engage with clients, including local and national authorities, consultants, and contractors.
- Mentor junior engineers to support their professional development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status or close to obtaining it (Engineers Ireland, ICE, or equivalent).
- 8-15 years of experience in bridge engineering.
- Proficient in bridge design software and standards (e.g., DMRB, Eurocodes).
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and English language skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of additional civil engineering disciplines, such as highways, geotechnics, or rail.
- Experience in business development activities, including client liaison and bid preparation.
