We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (all genders) based in Berlin or working remotely in Europe.

You will work with a full-stack engineering team, building high-quality, efficient, reliable, and elegant software. You will help us build a perfect product for online language learning and contribute to improving our product architecture.

Your Tasks:

• • Not just delivering business features but also tackling purely technical tasks and cleaning up the existing code
  • Maintaining awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly regarding usability and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to deliver new functionalities.

You bring to Lingoda

• • 5+ years of solid experience creating web applications using PHP, Symfony 5/6/7, and Doctrine
  • Good knowledge and practical experience with OOP and design patterns, as well as with modern architectural approaches
  • Experience with DDD, hexagonal architecture, and TDD
  • Passionate about code quality. Writing tests and documentation belongs to your natural workflow
  • Working with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to solve a common goal
  • Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team
  • Fluent English skills (C level), German language skills are a bonus
