Senior AccountantExclusive Opportunity with a Leading Property & Construction GroupHartley People is proud to partner exclusively with a well-established property development and construction group to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. This is a key senior role, Working closely with and reporting to the directors, responsible for managing the finance function across multiple group entities.This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking a leadership role in a dynamic and growing business.The Role:
- Financial Management – Oversee and develop the finance function across a group of three trading companies and three related entities.
- Management Accounts & Reporting – Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and board packs to support decision-making.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Develop and manage financial forecasts, budgets, and performance analysis.
- Cashflow & Treasury Management – Ensure strong financial planning, cashflow management, and banking relationships.
- Compliance & Audit – Manage tax compliance (VAT, RCT, PAYE/PRSI, Corporation Tax) and liaise with external auditors.
- Process & Systems Development – Enhance financial controls, reporting frameworks, and month-end procedures.
- Team Supervision – Manage and support a part-time accounts controller.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with 5+ years PQE.
- Strong experience in financial management, reporting, and compliance.
- Industry experience in construction or property development is an advantage but not essential.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential; knowledge of Sage, is beneficial.
- A proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
