- Negotiate the renewal of Commercial accounts ensuring that the agreed renewal retention rate is exceeded
- Ensure a professional and efficient level of service is maintained to support the team
- Request relevant additional information required by underwriters from agents to enable them to consider requests further
- Promptly convey instructions and premium to underwriters
- Update MI/Statistics using the inhouse computer system as necessary
- Advise brokers of acceptance/refusal of cover and provide written confirmation of terms
- Ensure responses are promptly requested and received from underwriters and that agent informed accordingly
- Investigate and resolve accounts queries as requested
- Any other duties as directed in connection with the smooth running of the team
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications
- Ability to confidently converse with colleagues, sub-agents and underwriters, written and verbally
- Good admin and computer skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
