Technical Skills:

  • Several years of project management experience working closely with business, operational and risk stakeholders. To include areas such as planning, risk management and dependency management.
  • Hands on business facing delivery experience (ideally leading multiple small initiatives or parts of bigger initiatives).
  • Experience navigating complex governance.
  • Agile skills and practical experience, including tooling such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Specific experience in working with Privacy, Risk and Controls teams.
  • Experience of working in regulatory work and/or customer facing journeys is also beneficial i.e. able to pre empt Risk concerns or think in terms of the customer’s perspective.
  • Experience working collaboratively with third party suppliers and building feature teams with other domains within the wider bank.
  • Technical experience isn’t critical but an ability to have fruitful discussions with designers and developers (and to understand their constraints) is highly beneficial.

Process Skills:

  • Experience in problem solving and addressing complex issues with challenging business stakeholders. For example consulting Risk, Ops and Product stakeholders to refine and ultimately approve a change proposal, based on their inputs. They should also be able to face off to other business teams such as Retail and Wealth
  • Experience in preparing packs suitable for senior audiences covering complex issues such as options papers or approval requests. Better yet if able to do so with limited supervision.
  • This would be someone we can provide a brief and they could then take onboard feedback/challenges and shape proposals working with stakeholders such as Risk, Controls, Fin Crime, Fraud, Product & Operations (the candidate should demonstrate aptitude to do so based on experience

Behavioral Skills:

  • Comfortable working in a fluid manner, as a Scrum Master role here can sometimes involve taking on additional responsibility during busy times (such as supporting Product Owners).
  • Ability to propose more efficient, collaborative, faster ways of working (especially across remote locations).
  • Able to ‘join the dots’ and see the bigger picture.
  • Seeks to understand the subject matter and actively aims to build knowledge to develop in the role.

  • Certifies Scrum Master
