About the Department
Join the Global Pharmaceutical Product Development and Supply (PPDS) organization within the Therapeutics Development and Supply (TDS) team at Johnson & Johnson. Based in Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium, our development centers span the US, Asia, and Europe, driving the creation of cutting-edge pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Your Role
As a key player in our collaborative team of process engineers, you will help shape the future of drug formulation and process development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Be the Expert: Act as a process analytics and modelling expert in drug product development teams, sharing your engineering and scientific insights to drive success.
- Innovate with data and physics: Develop our process modeling toolbox of the future in collaboration with internal partners as well as external research partners and universities.
- Champion our digitalisation ambitions: Lead the change in data analytics and process modelling by actively scouting your research domain and translate your ideas into valuable projects in close cooperation with your stakeholders.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen partnerships and optimize processes. Cultivate and expand your professional internal and external network by fostering relationships that enhance our mission. Your Qualifications
- Education & Experience: PhD or a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience in hybrid process modeling.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in engineering principles, process development, and scale-up, with a solid foundation in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mass transfer.
- Modeling Skills: Strong background in mechanistic modeling, mathematical concepts, linear algebra, and numerical methods.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Hands-on experience with statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques.
- Programming Proficiency: Skilled in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm implementation.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and share your insights.
