Pharmaceutical Sales Representative – Secondary /Integrated Care LeinsterWe are seeking a dynamic and motivated Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to join our team and promote our market-leading respiratory inhaler for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The ideal candidate will have a healthcare background and will be skilled in understanding the dynamics within Secondary/integrated care and Primary Care teams. The role involves educating and promoting the benefits of our product as well as supporting and motivating healthcare professionals (HCPs) to optimise patient treatment to reduce exacerbation risk and related hospital admissions and embrace the chronic disease program’s preventative care model.Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Promotion:
– Promote and sell our market-leading respiratory inhaler to healthcare professionals within Secondary/integrated Care
– Educate HCPs about the benefits and features of our product, ensuring they understand how it can improve patient outcomes.
– Achieve sales targets and business objectives through effective territory management and strategic planning.
- Relationship Building:
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with Secondary / integrated care & primary care teams, including Consultant, Registrars, ANP nurses, and other relevant healthcare providers.
– Identify key stakeholders within SC/IC teams and understand their roles, needs, and challenges.
– Act as a trusted advisor to HCPs, providing credible and reliable information to support their clinical decisions.
- Support and Motivation:
– Provide ongoing education and training to HCPs on the optimal use of our respiratory inhaler and its role in managing COPD.
– Assist HCPs in identifying and managing COPD patients, aiming to reduce hospital admissions and improve patient quality of life.
– Encourage and support HCPs to adopt the chronic disease program’s preventative care model.– Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Opportunity Spotting and Value Addition:
– Spot opportunities to align our goals with those of SC & IC teams and add value in a dynamic, changing healthcare environment.
– Stay informed about healthcare trends, policy changes, and innovations that impact COPD management in SC and IC
- Communication and Collaboration:
– Communicate effectively with HCPs, conveying complex medical information in a clear and engaging manner.
– Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies and share insights from the field to inform marketing efforts.Why you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals,
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, nursing preferred. Additional qualifications in sales, marketing, or business would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related healthcare field is preferable but not essential.
- Clinical experience, particularly in Secondary Care respiratory or chronic disease management, is highly desirable.
- Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with HCPs.
- Strong commitment to adhering to industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards. Demonstrates zero tolerance for breaches of conduct and prioritises protecting the company’s reputation by consistently following the code of conduct and ensuring all sales activities are compliant with regulatory requirements.
