Sales Manager KildareOur client, a leading food manufacturer are looking to recruit a sales manager to join their team.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and nurture the Sales team to deliver the budget set
Monitor, assess, and evidence delivery against targets- tracking volume, value, and timelines
Motivate and inspire the team to exceed expectations and targets in all their committed areas
Champion forward FY guidance document, ensuring accurate monthly lockdowns collaboratively with the commercial team and prepare leadership reports monthly
Gather data to understand the current and future needs of our customers identifying opportunities for growth and market expansion
Convert sales growth in targeted new market areas aligned to the Sales Strategy
Support and encourage the sales team in creating new opportunities from existing customer portfolio
Champion photo visions of all current customers to be updated biannually. Identify new customers collaboratively with the sales team inclusive of PSIR documents and targeted customer plans for sales growth
Work closely with the sales and finance teams regarding DSO, Credit Limits, Overdue accounts etc. ensuring all SOPs are met and that debtors are at a minimum
Participate in cross-functional project teams/meetings to represent the customer’s viewpoint on quality, costs, delivery times and pricing etc
Drive the sales team to meet Green-Bar CTO across all technologies. Champion concession requests into HOS and work collaboratively with the C&I and operations teams to cost engineer current and new product SKUs
Ensure adherence to all Sales SOPs
Ensure timely commercial reporting (internal and external) for all interactions with customers, existing and potential across the sales team. BURs and commercial reviews
Manage, develop, and evaluate the performance of the sales team to ensure optimal delivery
Support the Head of Sales in updating the longer-term strategy for growth, aligned to customer feedback and opportunities identified through the team
Work with the sales team in minimising uncommitted saleable inventory targeting below 5% of total inventory
Qualifications
Minimum 5-10 years experience in business development & sales expansion/management in growth scenarios and be able to present, be credible and win business from high calibre customers
Third-level qualification is desirable
Ability to operate in a fast-moving, demanding & intense environment
Proven experience in business development and sales expansion/ management in growth scenarios
Culinary/kitchen/back of house experience an advantage
Knowledge of Stock/Sauce/Fluids/butter market in UK & Ireland desirable
Extensive experience of B2B and food service market and pre-existing relationships in these sectors
Strong commercial acumen and numeracy skills essential with an ability to price product
Highly motivated and resilient
Effectively manage, evaluate and report on a geographically diverse sale team
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written/IT
Experience in an international environment and winning and keeping new accounts
Understand impact of decision making on business and customers
Have analytical and planning skills
Be a proven seller of solutions as opposed to off the shelf or packaged products
Have a good understanding of technical and quality matters and best practice in same in the food industry
