Midleton Park Hotel, part of the Talbot Collection are recruiting for an organised and passionate Sales & Events Executive to join our team. - Take and manage bookings for meetings, weddings and events with specific emphasis on maximising revenue at every opportunity
- Handle all guest queries in relation to meetings and events bookings, and manage the full cycle of booking from initial enquiry to billing
- Be the point of contact for all event bookers – whether it be telephone, email or face to face, ensuring excellent, timely and professional communication always
- Confirm in writing to all clients – the details of their bookings with the property’s terms and conditions whilst confirming payment details.
- Ensure to meet with clients to provide a show around of facilities and information as necessary to secure booking.
- Communicate any special requests to the relevant specific department and managers.
- Ensure function sheets are updated and distributed
- Oversee and assist in the management of group bookings
- Assist the Sales & Marketing manager to target sales calls to corporate bookers;
- Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager with any sales tasks or activities, as requested
- Assist the reservations department in taking reservations, when required
- Liaise with reception and accounts to ensure correct billing of all weddings and events.
- Attend wedding fairs and trade shows as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Have 1 years’ experience in a similar role in a 4* hotel;
- Experience using a PMS. HotSoft would be a distinct advantage;
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills;
- Display excellent attention to detail;
- Have the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time:
- Have an excellent telephone manner;
- Be sales-focused. Previous experience in a sales role would be an advantage.
- Be a team player
- Be fluent in both verbal and written English. This is essential.
