Sales Development Manager- Agriculture & Irrigation – Based in QLD or NSW

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity awaits within the world’swell-knownwater technology company. Grundfos Pumps Australia are seeking the skills of a talentedSales Development Managerto join our friendly, inclusive team, based in ourQLD or NSW office.

Job Purpose

The suitable applicant will be responsible for creating preference and demand within the agricultural and irrigation markets by providing the best value Grundfos solutions. They will build on their existing network of contacts by networking and fostering relationships with key stakeholders in grazing, cropping, horticulture and irrigation. This personwill understand the needs of the end user and translate these into product and marketing development opportunities. They will identify &track projects through specification to order and work with stakeholders through to project delivery. The role will also be responsible forsourcing and developing partnerships with complimentary suppliers.

Your main responsibilities

  • Being active within the agricultural and irrigation markets, connecting to end users and being aware of major projects being undertaken.

  • Supporting consultants, design engineers and contractors through feasibility, specification, and design.

  • Identification and development of new business opportunities andclients with the potential to use Grundfos products and services.

  • Identify and exploit opportunities to implement value added service including service contracts, commissioning services, assets under management and connected devices.

  • Provide sales and technical support to the channel stakeholders ensuring specification and correct application of Grundfos products.

  • Working with the Sales Managers and Technical Sales Development to identify and develop innovative and saleable product solutions relevant to the market.

  • Develop and nurture a network of key channel contacts.

  • Responsible for identifying and qualifying new accounts.

  • Responsible for developing & maintaining a pipeline of sales opportunities within agriculture and irrigation.

  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to create and collate relevant technical and commercial marketing documentation and case stories applicable to the channel.

  • Participating and engaging in relevant industry associations to build networks and relationships.

  • Provide outlook of future trends and market behaviour and competitive technologies

  • Ensure all reporting is accurate and presented within an acceptable time frame (including but not limited to expenses).

  • Any other reasonable duties as requested, commensurate with the position.

You r Background

  • Mechanical, Hydraulic or Electrical background essential (renewable energy or agtech experience highly regarded)

  • Project management experience desirable

  • Experience in the rural stock, irrigation and or agricultural industry mandatory (experience with pastoralists & graziers highly regarded)

  • Ability to network and buildgood relationships

  • Business development experience with an understanding of working with both distribution and end-users

  • Professional communication skills both written and verbal

  • Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office, SAP CRM

  • Proactive, results driven, and solutions focused

  • Understanding of sales channel management

  • Ability to engage, network, collaborate, and influence internal and external stakeholders

  • Proven experience and ability to deliver outstanding results

  • Fact basedchoice

  • Ability toprioritize, managing time effectively and independently
