Location ​

This iconic resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises of 295 guest rooms, suites and villas. ​

Department ​

We are seeking a new team member to join our Sales Department. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Distribution.​

​

Responsibilities include and are not limited to: ​

Performing general office duties to support Sales including phone enquiries, filing, sending emails, typing, copying.​

Preparing sales related documents throughout the sales process utilising sales & catering system CI/TY (e.g. proposals, contracts).​

Promoting awareness of brand culture internally and externally.​

Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.​

Gathering materials and assembling information packages (e.g. brochures, promotional materials).​

Support the Sales Departments with Special Project tasks​

Using sales techniques that maximise revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.​

Answer guest questions with sound knowledge of the resort.​

Monitor and nurture opportunities until they are ready for the Sales team to service.​

Effectively manage, coordinate, and develop trusted key relationships with prominent internal and external stakeholders.​

Obtain quotes and coordinate production in line with budgeting guidelines and complete invoicing process through ProjectTree and BirchStreet.​

Order and conduct stocktake of the sales and marketing collateral, ensuring strict adherence to the Brand standards​

Coordinate and generate donation gift certificates and special promotion vouchers in line with hotel policies​

The successful applicant will have:​

Minimum 1 year experience in Sales ​

Excellent communication skills​

Excellent computer skills​
