This created role will lead recruitment and attraction efforts in the GCC region.This role will report to the Senior Business Manager, Peerpoint UAE (Dubai) to deliver a best-in-class recruitment experience for candidates, with a view to fast deployment into assignments alongside the Middle East team. The Resourcing Manager, Peerpoint UAE is one of the essential roles for continued growth in the UAE and wider GCC region.The role will involve all aspects of the end-to-end recruitment process including candidate identification, CV screening, selection of suitable candidates, interviewing and managing the candidates through the process with the utmost of professionalism and care and in line with business needs. Given the current tight talent market, we are having conversations that are more exploratory in nature with lawyers who are assessing their career options. Therefore, previous experience of career planning conversations will be useful as well as experience of managing talent pools of candidates at various stages of their thinking and commitment to consulting.The Resourcing Manager must therefore be able to interact confidently and articulately with a wide variety of applicants, including an ability to interview incisively and sensitively. There will be the opportunity to get very involved with direct candidate sourcing activity, marketing recruitment campaigns and recruitment and consultant community events for the UK panel. As Peerpoint is a global business, the role will also provide support and guidance to our overseas colleagues as needed.Key relationships

Role and responsibilitiesA front-line role leading recruitment activities, which will include:

  • Identifying relevant talent profiles in the UAE and GCC region
  • Screening applications in line with Peerpoint criteria and demand
  • Leading first stage interviews to assess candidates’ suitability and motivations
  • Making decisions regarding whether to proceed, put on hold or decline candidates
  • Identify appropriate partners for second stage interview, brief partners and candidates, offer advice and guidance as required
  • Taking thorough personal references by phone, or briefing another team member to do so
  • Monitoring the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure it is accurate, efficient and fit for purpose for the changing needs of the business – working with the team to adapt and improve
  • Managing relationships with agencies, including negotiating terms and conditions
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market demands for talent by regularly speaking with A&O partners and the Peerpoint UAE team
  • Holding preliminary conversations with prospective consultants, explaining clearly and honestly the benefits and risks of a consulting career. These conversations include an element of career coaching
  • Support recruitment-marketing activities, including direct-sourcing/headhunting campaigns

Who we are looking for

  • An excellent interviewer, insightful, incisive and tenacious, yet empathetic and supportive
  • Experience of managing end-to-end recruitment processes in a high-quality and fast-paced environment, whether in-house or agency.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to establish quickly rapport, build trust, demonstrate credibility and authority
  • Excellent judgment, an ability to make reasoned decisions and to communicate them
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Resilient and pragmatic with strong commercial acumen
  • Previous experience in legal recruitment or recruitment across multiple jurisdictions would be highly desirable but not essential
