This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at the interface of applied physics, photonics, and engineering.About the Position:
The Research Engineer will take a leading role in the design and implementation of advanced regulation and stabilization systems for photonic experimental setups. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and optimizing control systems for precision instrumentation.
• Developing robust strategies to enhance the reliability and performance of experimental setups.
• Supporting the team by sharing technical expertise, training early-career researchers, and centralizing best practices to streamline workflows.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary research group in a highly collaborative and innovative environment.Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong academic background in photonics, applied physics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Expertise in control systems, microcontroller programming, FPGA design, or laser stabilization.
• Hands-on experience with photonic experimental setups, particularly in nonlinear optics, is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English, with French or Dutch as a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
