The Grid Automation ANZ – Renewable Integration Sales Leader will develop the opportunity to grow the business in this segment across the ANZ region.

Ensure the understanding of market needs, market stakeholders, project opportunities and how GE Vernova can maximise the opportunities in the segment. Tracking of projects, development and stakeholders within all projects along with maximising the value for the customers with GE Vernova propositions.

This role includes understanding market trends, market players, technical requirements, business and pricing models along with detailed interactions with internal and external customers and teams.

This position will report to the Australia Indonesia & New Zealand Sales Leader.

Job Description

  • Provides an interface to market players in the ANZ Renewable market for building up a full detailed market profile including pricing, recommendations.

  • Develop opportunities within the market segment with recommendations on project scope, how stakeholders can improve project delivery, and CAPEX/OPEX requirements within the scope of Grid Automation.

  • Budgetary pricing, timelines within the Grid Automation scope

  • Provide recommendations, technical input, risk analysis and key differentiators/selection factors to maximise the chances of success for the Sales and Tendering teams

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the full spectrum of ANZ Renewable market with focus on key differentiators to promote market growth.

  • Guide and drive internal technical teams to produce the necessary materials for the ANZ market to position GE Vernova Grid Automation

  • Develop strategies for identified projects and buy-in from key internal staff

  • Engage across the GE Vernova verticals to provide guidance on the above items

  • Report on project opportunities, market trends within internal CRM system

  • Market research and analysis identifying key trends

  • Provide budget pricing, technical guidance and conceptual ideas for a wide range of market participants

  • Present to customers (internal/external) on new offerings and developments including feedback on products gaps and features needed in the GE offering to exceed market expectations

  • Review techno-commercial documentation produced by others for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies, procedures and customer expectations

  • Understand local rules, regulations and guidelines to wider GE Vernova Grid Automation understand the requirements.

  • Provide technical co-ordination between Central Product Line, Regional Sales, Tendering and Application teams to provide the necessary to our customers

  • Identify, reports and escalate issues, risks and opportunities on project opportunities with providing possible solutions.

  • Prepare and participate in reviews with various levels of management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with experience in Renewable Generation projects.

  • Minimum of 10 years in Sales, Business Development or Renewable project development and/or execution

  • Knowledge of Electrical Secondary Systems

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong customer focus and ability to engage at multiple levels within a customers’ organisation.

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills with ability to adapt.

  • Knowledge of Australian Renewable market or the GE Vernova Grid Automation offering

  • Ability to handle many complex issues concurrently.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Understanding of Tendering and risk analysis

  • Proven ability to learn

  • Solid understanding of Renewable Generation and Market fundamentals and issues.

  • Interest in Renewable Generation and alignment with the Energy Transition

  • Developer, EPC or Sales experience, preferably in the Power Industry.

  • Registered Professional Engineer (within Australia or overseas)

As GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.
