Bruker Daltonics, a leading manufacturer of mass spectrometry instrumentation, software, and accessories, has an immediate opening for a Remote Support Specialist focused on our TimsTof product line. The Remote Support specialist will provide application- and technical support for our high-resolution Q-TOF product lines. Focus is on the Proteomics solutions with TimsTOF technology coupled by online nanoHPLC, as well as Metabolomics and Imaging solutions equipped with adjacent technologies. The area of responsibility includes customers as well as service colleagues from North America. This position is fully remote. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote application- and hardware support for all Bruker Daltonics LCMS Products with strong focus on the TimsTOF product family coupled with online nanoHPLC as well as support for Metabolomics and Imaging solutions.
  • Use of QC measurements and QC data evaluation in troubleshooting our complete solutions, like nano LC-TimsTOF.
  • Provide rapid response to customers via phone or email, augmented reality, and remote support software platforms.
  • Perform remote support and diagnostic analysis to determine independently if on-site corrective maintenance is required by Field Service Team or Field Application Team
  • Determine root cause of failure and diagnose corrective actions required.
  • Communicate regularly with the factory and regional applications team to obtain timely information on new products, software, and applications.
  • Collaborate with the Field Service Teams for customer support issues, ensuring the completion of hardware- and application- related inquiries and escalations as needed.
  • Supply required replacement material list for corrective maintenance. 
  • Document all customer interactions in Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or master’s degree in chemistry/ Biochemistry or Life and Analytical Science related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Preferably a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years’ experience and a Master’s degree
  • Strong Mass spectrometry focus with LCMS application experience in proteomics and/or small molecule applications
  • Experience in data interpretation using standard postprocessing software
  • Collaboration across departments to successfully resolve customer service cases
  • Strong Interest in troubleshooting of complex analytical instruments
  • Strong interest in technology
  • Knowledge of analog electronics, high voltage circuitry/circuits, laser technology is an asset.
  • Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries, communicate and interact with customers with a range of technical expertise.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines within a customer-focused work environment.
