Job Title: Remote Service Engineer
Job Description
As a Remote Service Engineer, you will remotely assist customers in assessing, troubleshooting, and fixing issues with our in-service tire machines. This role is primarily based in our Stow, Ohio office, with hybrid flexibility. You will provide reliable solutions to customer problems and work to prevent future issues.
Responsibilities
- Answer customer or coworker inquiries via phone or email and provide quick, reliable solutions.
- Visit customers if remote service fails and support preventive maintenance if requested.
- Capture and analyze issues/solutions or questions/answers for future use.
- Remotely analyze equipment data to assess machine issues and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Provide 24/7 helpline support, available outside office hours for 1st and 2nd line support (up to two weeks per month).
- Set up high-tech communication systems, such as Google Glasses, to support customers and coworkers remotely.
- Work in shifts to cover 24/7 support.
- Actively participate in creating a customer database in the Asset Management Software.
- Train customers either in-office or at customer locations.
- Assist with machine installations and startups (rarely).

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Control Engineering, or related field.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Willingness to be available for customer or internal staff needs.
- Knowledge of industrial automation (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff).
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to download, troubleshoot, or execute adjustments in PLC programs.
- Willingness to travel if needed.
- Experience with PCs/Servers and SQL.
- Thorough in reporting.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office environment with hybrid work flexibility. The role requires working in shifts to provide 24/7 support. You will use high-tech communication systems and occasionally travel to customer locations if remote service fails. The work is challenging and offers opportunities to learn and grow engineering skillsets.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 – $75000.00

VMI covered portion:
$50,000 life and $50,000 AD&D
Employee Contribution:
Option to purchase additional coverage up to 3x salary or 150,000 (which ever is less)

VMI Covered:
Pays out based on Unum’s calculated percentage
