A Day in the Life

Remote Sales is designed to complement the traditional field sales force with a technology-enabled, innovative remote sales capability that will increase the accessibility of product and service solutions to our customers, thereby improving the overall customer experience. The Remote Sales organisation is specifically designed to grow & retain sales and support sales execution in the instrumentation of selected accounts. 

This position is part of the VES (Virtual Engagement Solutions) Remote Sales team in Saudi Arabia and works closely with the Field Sales & Marketing team as well as Customer Care, Tender Operations, Commercial Excellence and reports directly to the Business Sales Manager. 

We offer you a position where you can demonstrate your sales skills within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to deliver our business objectives. You will:

  • Remotely sell Medtronic products and retain end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts for pre-defined territory locations to meet or exceed assigned sales goals.
  • Identify, develop and close leads for the business and refer internal leads as appropriate.
  • Provide input on new markets, new product introductions and existing products or supplies.
  • Promote and establish education on the company’s products and/or services.
  • Manage and respond to customer concerns and issues.
  • Arrange product demonstrations.
  • Conducts market research, including customer and competitor activities.
  • Implements market development plans/strategies and makes changes as necessary.
  • Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or changes to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including.
  • Research and Development, Operations and Marketing. Fully utilize all available sales tool to maximize sales efficiency (Sales Force Dot Com & Vendavo & E-Store) and complete all required administrative tasks (call reports and other KPI and metrics reports).

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in medical sales, 2 years in surgical sutures or cardiac surgery preferred.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong Microsoft skills especially Excel.
  • Ability to travel outside Jeddah as required by the business.
  • Experience and comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Strong “remote” communication and selling skills coupled with presentation/communication skills over the phone & ability to follow up and close deals with customers.

  • Knowledge of cardiovascular devices
  • Good organisational and time management skills
