Remote Patient Outreach Associate – AEP Project
Location: Remote (Training in South Asheville, NC) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Start Date: 9/22/2025 (half-day training from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM) Compensation: $19/hour, plus opportunity for a performance-based bonus
Our client, a medical office in South Asheville, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Remote Patient Outreach Associate to join their team for the upcoming Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). This is a contract position with a minimum duration of 30 days, with the potential for extension. This is a great opportunity to make a direct impact on patients’ lives by helping them navigate their healthcare options.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Patient Outreach: Primarily make outbound calls to patients to help them understand their Medicare options and available resources during the Annual Enrollment Period.
- Patient Support: Answer inbound calls from patients who are returning your outreach or have follow-up questions.
- Information & Guidance: Use provided scripts, FAQs, and talking points to effectively communicate with patients and guide them through their Medicare choices.
- Broker Connection: Successfully connect patients with a broker for further assistance with their enrollment.
- Data Management: Accurately document all patient interactions and track performance metrics using our client’s systems, including Athena (EMR) and Foundry (CRM), with a potential transition to Salesforce.
- Training & Onboarding: Attend a mandatory half-day in-person training in South Asheville on 9/22/2025, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, before beginning remote work.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare-related role is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with a clear and professional phone presence. You must be able to listen to patients’ needs and communicate complex information in a clear, simple manner.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to learn and navigate new software systems quickly. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems like Athena, Foundry, or Salesforce is a plus.
- Work Ethic: Highly reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Other Requirements: Must have a quiet, distraction-free space to work and a reliable high-speed internet connection. The ability to attend the in-person training in South Asheville on the specified date is mandatory.
