Remote Load Operator – Underground

New Porgera Limited (NPL) is a company incorporated in Papua New Guinea and operates the Porgera Gold Mine in Enga Province on behalf of the Porgera Joint Venture partners. Role Overview:

Are you an experienced operator with a passion for innovation and excellence in mining operations? Barrick Gold Porgera Operations is seeking a skilled Remote Loader Operator to play a pivotal role in restarting underground tele-remote loader operations at our site. If you have a can-do attitude, are a team player, and possess experience with CAT 2900 and Sandvik 517i, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Restart Porgera Underground Tele-Remote Loader Operations:

Take the lead in restarting and optimizing tele-remote loader operations in the underground department.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards while maximizing efficiency and productivity.

Operate CAT 2900 and Sandvik 517i Loaders

Utilize your expertise in operating CAT 2900 and Sandvik 517i loaders to efficiently load materials in underground mining operations.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment.

Utilize RCT Digital and Sandvik Automine Systems

Leverage your experience with RCT Digital and Sandvik Automine systems to enhance automation and remote operation capabilities.

Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the operation of remote loader systems.

Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to achieve operational targets and objectives.

Maintain effective communication with other team members to ensure smooth coordination of loader operations with other mining activities.

Experience in Open Stoping Operations:

Apply your knowledge and experience in open stoping operations to ensure safe and efficient material handling practices.

Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize loader operations in open-stoping environments.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Highly experienced in using RCT Digital and Sandvik Automine systems for remote loader operations.

Proficiency in operating CAT 2900 and Sandvik 517i loaders, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.

Previous experience in underground mining operations, particularly in open stoping environments, is highly desirable.

A demonstrated commitment to safety, with a track record of adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to remote loader operations.
