Overview

GPC Remote Intervention discipline is currently based in four sites: Sutton, Suresnes, Lisbon and Kuala Lumpur. The team has a multicultural environment, with highly skilled engineers from all parts of the world.

GPC is looking for a Remote Installation Engineer to join the Engineering team based in Lisbon for undetermined period of time.

Reporting functionally to the GPC remote Intervention Engineering Discipline manager and or Remote Intervention Deputy and operationally to the Project Lead Engineer or Tender Technical Manager, the Remote Intervention engineer will provide Remote Intervention Engineering support to the Remote Intervention Lead Engineer for Remote Intervention Installation being run from the GPC offices.

Responsibilities

Tenders

  • Understand client needs and drivers.
  • Follow marketing/tender strategy.
  • Review ITT documentation and Client Specifications.
  • Responsible to prepare, justify, raise and follow technical clarifications /qualifications (contractual writing skill is required).
  • Responsible to identify and justify risks and opportunities.
  • Follow internal process during all tendering phase by using applicable templates, validation/review process, etc…
  • Responsible for equipment priced databook for Remote Intervention scope.
  • Contribute to tender Engineering reviews on all subjects associated to (or at the interface with), the Remote Intervention scope.
  • Produce CTR and Manhours for Remote Intervention. Interface and produce list of subsea hardware from SPS for Connectors and tooling.

Project

Under supervision of the Remote Intervention Lead Engineer

  • Responsible to produce project documentation as required
  • ROV access Verification report
  • Tie-In procedure (including interface with SPS for documentation)
  • In support to Lead engineer for tooling requirement list and interface

Support for the technical interface:

  • With Other engineering disciplines, pipeline group, Supply chain, estimating and operation department. This includes the identification and reporting to Project/tender Management of any gaps that may impact the correct execution of the scope of work.
  • With alliance partners OSS for the subsea connection’s equipment (required for the Tie-In of flowlines and umbilical network) as well as specific SPS Remote Intervention requirements.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-2 years of relevant expertise.
  • Broad experience in Remote Intervention (SURF/EPCI Contractor level).
  • Broad experience in SPS and SPS Connectors and tooling.
  • Experience in managing small/medium size tender remote intervention scope.
  • SURF development contractual and cost awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplined and multicultural team
  • Independently evaluate, organise, and prioritise work for self and others to meet set deadlines
  • Ability to work within time/budget and strict deadline constraints
  • Articulates views in comprehensive manner

Further knowledge is desirable in the following subjects:

  • API RP 17H and ISO13628-8 standards,
  • Subsea valves and connection systems,
  • Subsea production and control system,
  • General SURF installation,
  • Scheduling / MS project,
  • Writing and reporting skills.

Working Conditions

  • Majority of the work is carried out in the regional main office site – Lisbon 5 days a week, Travels for meetings as required.
  • Potential Offshore and Onshore activities follow-up – depending on project ongoing.
  • Working hours according to local regulation and Company’s policy.
