Job Title: Remote Inpatient Coder III

Payrate: $30 – $45 per hour

Job Summary:

Addison Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Inpatient Coder III to support our client remotely. This role is essential for maintaining accurate medical coding records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates must be ready to contribute to a high-performing team in a virtual, remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and thorough inpatient coding, including General, OB, and Newborn cases.
  • Utilize EPIC and 3M 360 software for coding, with proficiency preferred.
  • Consistently meet quality and productivity standards, achieving full quality expectations within 4-6 weeks and production goals within 2 months.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and stay informed of complex guidelines, with the ability to work independently and apply analytical skills effectively.
  • Adhere to coding protocols and regulations, following specific pre-bill procedures, and utilizing resources such as SharePoint for best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active certification in RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CIC, or CIRCC (must be current).
  • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient hospital coding experience.
  • Proficiency with EPIC and 3M 360 (or similar) within the last 12 months.
  • Strong understanding of coding practices for various medical procedures, including Cardiology, NICU, and other critical case types.
  • Familiarity with detailed procedural guidelines, facility rules, and a proactive approach to meet high documentation standards.
  • Ability to adhere to compliance protocols, including drug, nicotine, and health screenings.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, flexible start times between 5 AM – 7 PM CST, allowing a choice in work hours post-training.

Pay Range:

$30 – $45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Permanent salary options discussed upon conversion to full-time.
