Responsibilities:
- Project Analysis:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Conduct site visits or utilize remote tools to assess project conditions.
- Cost Estimation:
- Utilize cost estimation software, databases, and industry knowledge to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses.
- Consider factors such as market conditions, project location, and regulatory requirements in estimating costs.
- Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive and organized cost estimation reports, including breakdowns of individual costs and assumptions made during the estimation process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project estimates and revisions.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other team members to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and cost factors.
- Address queries and provide clarifications regarding cost estimates.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about industry trends, materials, and construction methods to enhance accuracy in cost estimations.
- Propose and implement process improvements to streamline the estimation workflow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in a remote work setting.
- Proficient in using cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices and regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in construction estimating is highly desirable.
