Your functionYour main responsibilities are to:
- Support the development of tools and services for reinsurance pricing and underwriting activities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for tool content consumers
- Improve and maintain current production tools
- Perform studies of different possible approaches
- Update API documentation for both technical and methodological aspects
- Participate in innovative research topics
- Stay up to date with latest trends in technology in general and python development in particular
Your profileRequirements
- A strong academic background with a degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, a related discipline, or equivalent by experience.
- At least three years of professional experience in roles involving quantitative research, data analysis, or software development.
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Working knowledge of SQL for database querying and management.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, for collaborative software development.
- A strong foundation in statistical methods and concepts to support data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with software testing practices to ensure robust, reliable, and maintainable code.
Considered a Plus
- Hands-on experience with Python libraries like NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and pytest for data manipulation, machine learning, and testing.
- Knowledge of API development and integration to build scalable and efficient interfaces.
- A background in data science, including modeling, visualization, and predictive analytics.
- Experience working in the retail or financial services industries, particularly with insurance or reinsurance applications.
